
Community Biogas Plants
Installation and operation of community-level cattle-dung biogas plants under GOBARDHAN and Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) across Assam.
Overview
SFARD is the technical-cum-implementing agency for community-level biogas plants of 10 and 30 cubic metres under the GOBARDHAN component of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen). Plants in Chirang, Udalguri, Baksa and Bajali districts convert cattle dung into clean cooking gas and slurry manure, with house connections for nearby families.
What we do

- 4Operation and maintenance training for community operators
- 5Use of digested slurry as organic manure
