NABARD-supported vegetable cultivation using drip irrigation, plastic mulching, IoT soil testing and app-based advisories in Sonitpur, Assam.
Overview
Under NABARD's Farm Sector Promotion Fund, SFARD is helping vegetable growers in Borsola Block of Sonitpur District adopt drip irrigation and mulching, backed by IoT-based soil testing and app-based digital agriculture advisories. Demonstration plots, trellised cultivation and vermicompost units show farmers how to raise yields while using less water.
